You may have noticed that KnoxvilleFilms.com has undergone a little reconstruction in the last 24-hours. What began as a little curiosity about taking the site to a three column layout ended in a mad dash to reconstruct the site.
Along the way, the start from scratch approach became our ‘spring cleaning’ in the middle of winter. So, here’s what new and different:
- Every effort has been made to put information you need at the top of the page.
- Additional navigation pages have been added so help people who are seeing the site from a single post.
- Old and useless code has been removed so the page now loads twice as fast.
- We have a fresh new design and color scheme. It’s a work in progress but we hope to make the site easier to read and more pleasing to the eyes.
In other news, we’re adding two new feature: ‘Movie News’ and ‘From the Blogosphere’. These will be regular features that join our existing columns like ‘$1 Movie Reviews’ and ‘Gear Tech’.
We would also like to welcome the latest production companies to the East TN Production List:
While they are no strangers to Knoxville, they are fresh new faces on Knoxville Films.com–so–welcome!
